How to Apply TAR BOOK Online | For B.tech / GME / ETO/ Deck and Engine Rating Cadets
1:- How to Apply TAR BOOK Online For B.Tech, GME, and ETO Cadets
Follow the steps below to register for the On Board Training Assessment Record (TAR) Book for GME (12 months) / GME/ B.Tech./ ATS & ETO.
Step 1: Registration
- Click “REGISTER HERE“ to register for the Training and Record Book and fill the application form with the correct information as requested.
Step 2: Upload Documents
- Upload the required documents as mentioned in the instructions for your specific course (GME, DME, B.Tech, etc.).
Documents Required:
- For FG (Foreign Going):
- GME/DME/B.E./B.Tech/ATS Certificate
- College Degree Certificate
- Provisional Certificate
- Passing Out Certificate (Any one of these)
- For ETO (Electro-Technical Officer):
- ETO Certificate
- For NCV (Near Coastal Voyage):
- NCV Passing Out Certificate
Step 3: Payment for TARBOOK
- Make the payment online as per the applicable charges:
- FG TAR Book: Rs. 600/- (+ Rs. 100/- for postage)
- ETO TAR Book: Rs. 300/- (+ Rs. 100/- for postage)
Step 4: Submission of TARBOOK Application Form
- Click “Submit” to complete the registration process.
Note for ETO Students: Use your Roll Number instead of the Pre-Sea TAR Book Number.
Step 5: TAR Book Collection Options
- By Post:
- Ensure all documents (as listed above) are ready.
- Collecting Personally from IME(I) House:
- Bring all the required documents along with a printout of the registration email.
- Address: IMEI House, Plot No. 94 Sector-19, Nerul, Navi Mumbai, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400706
Step 6: Email Confirmation for Booking
- After successful registration, you will receive a confirmation email.
- Forward the email (without any modification, such as converting it to JPEG, PDF, etc.) to onboardtarbook@imare.in.
- Check your Inbox and look in Spam/Other folders if you don’t see the email.

- Copy of Certificate (Choose any one: GME/DME/B.E./B.Tech./ATS Certificate or College Degree/Provisional/Passing Out Certificate)
- Proof of Payment
- Printout of Registration Successful Email (received after registration)

- ETO Certificate
- Proof of Payment

1:- Visit the BES Office
- Open Monday to Friday (1100-1700 hrs) & Saturday (1030-1300 hrs).
- Address: Board of Examinations for Seafarers Trust
NMS Titanium, 1006,1007 & 1008, 10th Floor, Plot no. 74, Sector-15, CBD Belapur, Navi Mumbai – 400614.
2:- Prepare Documents
- Two passport-size photos.
- Photocopy of CDC (first page, stamped last ship page, last address page) – self-attested.
- Watchkeeping Certificate – self-attested.
- Board of Examinations GP Rating Certificate – self-attested.
- UPI/UTR payment receipt.
- Fill Requisition Form:
- Download and complete the form. Click here to download
- Submit Documents:
- In-person: Submit at the BES office.
- By Courier: Send the completed form, documents, and payment receipt to the BES office.
- Payment:
- Deck Side Rating: ₹400 (+ ₹100 for postage)
- Engine Side Rating: ₹250 (+ ₹100 for postage)
- Electro-Technical Rating: ₹250 (+ ₹100 for postage)
- Receive Your Book:
- Collect in person or wait for courier delivery.
