  • Located in Bogda, Goa, IMS is a very well reputed college, known to provide the finest training for GME cadets securing its place among the top GME colleges in India.
  • The college charges a fee of around INR 5,50,200 + INR 15,000 caution money (as mentioned on the official website) for its Graduate Marine Engineering course.
  • The Graduate Marine Engineering curriculum at IMS Goa has been divided into 4 months of classroom training, 2 months of workshop training, and 6 months of afloat training.

Graduate Marine Engineering Course Eligibility

Education Qualification:

  • B.E./B-TECH in Mechanical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering Streams OR BE/B-Tech in Marine Engineer (non DGS approved).
  • Degree in Naval Architecture/ Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering/ Naval Architecture and Shipbuilding etc.
  • Minimum 50% in final year of degree certificate.

English

  • Minimum 50% in English in class 10th or 12th or in their degree course.

Age Limit

  • Candidates should not be older than 28 years on the date of commencement of the course.

Physical and Medical Standards

Eye Sight
  • 6/6 or 6/12 in each eye or 6/18 in one eye and 6/9 in other eye without glasses WITH NO COLOUR BLINDNESS by Ishihara chart. Partial Colour Blindness is also not acceptable.
Body Mass Index
  • Less than 25.
Minimum Height and Weight
  • Height: 1.58m.
  • Weight: 51 Kg.

Registration Process

How To Apply

  • Admission through Online Entrance Examination, followed by Interviews, Psychometric Test and Medical Test. An amount of Rs. 3750/- (Non-Refundable) for GME and DME candidates is to be paid by the candidate towards online/entrace exam and Psychometric test fee.

Payment

  • The payment of the fees for online Entrance Test is to be made online.
  • Once the payment is done, candidate will receive a confirmation email, wherein a URL Link will be provided to book seat for Online Entrance Test.

Seat Booking Instructions

  • Candidates who pass the online entrance test and psychometric evaluation will further be called for a “Panel Interview”.
