Here’s a guide on how to apply for assessment at the Maritime Mercantile Department (MMD) for your MEO Class 1 Certificate of Competency (COC) exam:

Step 1: Log on to the DG Shipping website.

Step 2: Click on E-governance

Step 4: Go to Update seafarer’s profile and update all details

  1. Assessment Review (7-15 Days):
  • After paying the assessment fee, wait for 7 to 15 days for the assessment to be reviewed.

  • Visit the Maritime Mercantile Department (MMD) for document verification.
  1. Seat Booking and Fee Submission:
  • Once your documents are verified, you can book your exam seat and submit the fees using the same website.
  • DG Shipping will notify you in advance about seat booking dates.

 For applying for the MEO Class-I Certificate of Competency (CoC), you can choose any of the following Mercantile Marine Departments (MMDs) in India:

  5. Noida MMD
